The founders of Hemisphere Novelties have been manufacturing leather buttons, buckles, and accessories since 1940. The company was originally founded by Maxwell Wolfeld and Richard L. Billig. Presently, the company is headed by Maxwell, Bennett, and Jeffrey Wolfeld. Maxwell heads the finance department, Bennett directs all product manufacturing, and Jeffrey is in charge of worldwide sales and product promotion.

The worldwide sales office is located in Yonkers, with manufacturing facilities in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Kingston, Jamaica. Today, Hemisphere Novelties manufactures over two hundred different styles of leather buttons, leather buckles, leather zipper pulls, leather toggles and cord stoppers, leather belt fronts, and leather accessories for the garment industry. Additionally, we can offer custom designed buttons with or without company logos for a nominal charge. The company is also available for contract work.
